Needles of Canyonlands National Park was the last national park that we visited on our way home from Colorado this summer, and it will definitely be worth returning to!
These pictures are a mixture of roadside stops like the Newspaper Rock and Roadside Ruin, along car camping and exploring the rocks and trails up behind our campsite.
It was SO hot that it was only reasonable to hike with the kids in the morning or evening so we didn’t venture too far from our campsite. There was a bathroom but no electricity but the sites were large and roomy and butted up against the canyon walls. It was so different than my normal Pacific Northwest blue tarp camping!
It would be nice to be able to return to Needles of Canyonlands National Park in cooler temperatures and venture out further into the canyons, I’d plan to stay for at least two days.
For more info, visit the national park website HERE. We stayed in The Needles area which sees fewer crowds and offers a variety of roadside stops and camping options along with a visitor’s center.
