The Olympic Peninsula is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean, on the east by the Hood Canal and on the north by the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and has the majestic Olympic Mountains at its heart. You can choose a coastal beach walk or high mountain traverse. The Olympic National Park is the main attraction with its rain forests, beaches and snow covered summits. It is a bit more of a drive (that includes a ferry ride for me) but I have been trying to get over to the peninsula and discover more of this rich and diverse geological area.
My favorite places to stop post hike with friends are Butcher & Baker Provisions, Pacific Pizza, Turnip The Beet, 101 Brewery at Twana Roadhouse, Nourish Sequim, Linda’s Wood Fired Food, Finn River, Sunsets West Co-op, Kalaloch Lodge, Serious Pizza, or just Pack A Cooler. You can learn more about these places in my Must Hike Must Eat Eating Out Guide.
