I want to share with some upcoming events in the north end where you can learn more about some amazing outdoor books I have talked about here on the blog!
Geology Underfoot in Western Washington
The first one is a book presentation by Dave Tucker who I wrote about in Geology Under Our Feet. If you loved hearing all about the cool geological phenomena here in Washington State and would love to listen to and talk with the author of that book, now is here your chance! I am SO bummed I will be out of town this day. He will be at the Camano Island Library April 21st from 10am-noon. The address is 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., Camano Island, WA 98282.
Cascade Hiker Podcast
If you’ve been following me awhile, you know all about my friend Rudy over at Cascade Hiker Podcast and his podcasts that inspire you to get outdoors. Well, he’s putting together a live podcast event in May that will not only have the lead for Whiskey Fever (his intro music) but multiple Pacific Crest Trail section guidebook authors. Tami Asars (who, also, wrote Hiking The Wonderland Trail), Eli Boschetto, Shawnté Salabert and Philip Kramer, are scheduled to share all about hiking the PCT! There will even be a raffle for some cool backpacking gear! The event is May 21st at 7pm at the Whitewall Brewery in Marysville, WA. I plan to be there!
For more details, listen to his bonus podcast, check out the event on Facebook or head over to his website to purchase tickets. All proceeds go to the Pacific Crest Trail Association!
