These are my pictures from my visit to Teutonia Peak Trail, for more information visit my page on the Mojave National Preserve. You can, also, read about my visit here at Spring Break Road Trip Day 6: Ben, Joshua, Michael and Craigslist. This is a 3.4 mile RT hike with about 700ft of gain with a bit of a scramble at the end to reach the true summit. Go in the spring and enjoy the desert flowers in bloom. This area, also, has a higher concentration of Joshua trees than Joshua National Park!
Directions: From Cima in Mojave National Preserve, drive north on Cima Road for 6 miles to a turnout at the trailhead. From the 15 Freeway, exit Cima Road and drive south for 11 miles to the turnout. The trailhead is on the south side of the road a quarter mile west of the White Cross World War I Memorial.
For more hikes in the Southwest, visit my Beyond The Pacific Northwest page. The Kelso Dunes and Kelso Train Depot make other fun stops nearby!
