My Hike:
8/9/2016
We visited Colorado Springs this summer and Garden of The Gods was one of the hikes we did to get out and explore the area.
We were one of the first ones on the trail that day and were rewarded with wild life and less crowds as we walked in and out of the towering red rock as they reached towards the heavens.
Garden of The Gods was such a beautiful place! There are multiple loops and access points to choose from based on your abilities, even a few ADA paths.
You can find information you need on visiting the park HERE. For other hikes nearby, visit the Manitou Springs Incline below Pikes Peak or the Red Mountain and Paul Intemann Memorial Nature Trail in Manitou Springs.
Glen Eyrie, the home of the Navigators, is also next door and makes for an interesting visit.
Directions: Garden of The Gods is located at 1805 N. 30th St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. From I-25, take exit #146 (Garden of the Gods Rd), go west (towards the mountains) for 2.5 miles. Then, turn left onto 30th St and the Visitor & Nature Center will be on the left (a little over a mile). It has winter and summer hours and is also closed on a few major holidays, so check the link above to make sure the park is open.
