I want to share with you something I wrote up for Washington Trails Association recently that I am sure you are going to love! If you are looking for something hot to carry into the outdoors with you as we move into the colder months of fall and winter, these 8 beverage ideas are sure to do the trick.
Warm beverages can be a tasty treat but also provide warmth both inside and out. You can prepare them at home and store in an insulated bottle or add a stove in your pack and prepare hot water on trail to add ingredients to. Something warm to drink can be an important step in maintaining body temperature and avoiding hypothermia or shock.
All of these recipes are paleo-friendly and easy to put together before you leave for the trailhead and even provide some necessary nutrition to keep you going on the trail. Head on over to WTA and find one to try in your thermos on your next hiking or backpacking trip!
