There never seems to be enough love in the world, have you noticed that? Have I told you lately how much I love you?
I was thinking the other day about how much I appreciate everyone who visits the blog (actually, I think about it all the time). You might not know it but blogs are a ton of work. It is much like a full-time job except I love it and do it from the bottom of my heart. It is such a joy when I know that readers have connected with a written story, learned something new, tried a recipe they enjoyed on their last backpacking trip or gained a little positive inspiration.
So, I have a little favor to ask! Did you know there are ways you can support the blog and show it a little love back? If you have enjoyed any of hiking stories, nutritious recipes or ramblings, there are a four easy ways you can show the love:
Comment
Leave a comment in the box below or on any of the posts or recipes. Let everyone know you are out there and enjoyed what you read, have a question or suggestion. Comment when you don’t agree! Comments help me know I’m not just talking to myself, which I’m normally quite okay with in real life but on blogs it’s not such a good thing. Comments are how I get to know you!
Share
Like what you find on Must Hike Must Eat? Please share! There are a plethora of buttons down below and on all my posts you can click on to let your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or wherever you hang out online in on the fun here or you can even use good old email. Sharing is caring! The more times a post or recipe is shared, the more people will see it on the little ‘ol internet. There is this whole search engine algorithm thing…
Give
I recently added a little button over there on the right of every page that connects to a place called Ko-Fi. It is an easy way for folks who want to support my map and chocolate habit to let me know you appreciate what you find on Must Hike Must Eat and all the time I take to create content here on the blog when I could be hiking instead. Or sleeping. I had my first cup of encouragement the other day and it was SO exciting! Thank you, thank you!
Flaunt
For a little while now I have been thinking it would be nice to have a t-shirt or hat with Must Hike Must Eat on it to not only show what I am passionate about but let others know about Must Hike Must Eat. In the last month I had a few folks tell me they, too, would love to wear something that said Must Hike Must Eat. So, I put together a few items with the logo like baseball hats, beanies and t-shirts that I and anyone interested could purchase.
Editor’s note: I am currently moving my store from outside to inside this website. Please check back for a new link soon!
See, that wasn’t that bad was it? And thank you again for all your support and encouragement in the last two years, it really has meant a lot and makes the work of running a website like Must Hike Must Eat worth it. It’s kind of like Skinner’s rats, but with pretty pictures and yummy looking food. Besides, I just love connecting with all you lovely people and sharing in what makes this world great: community!
Oh, and did I mention today is my BIRTHDAY and no round numbers yet! Well, the number 8 is a little round…
