SR 20-North Cascades Highway provides access to the “American Alps”, the Pasayten Wilderness and Methow Valley and is one of the most gorgeous roads to explore our state on. And the hikes aren’t so bad either. SR 20-North Cascade HWY connects with SR 2-US Route 2-HWY 2 in Eastern Washington and lets you enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities from hiking, camping, river rafting, backpacking, wine tasting, snowshoeing, peak bagging, and the list goes on and on. Some of my favorite places to stop on SR 20-North Cascade HWY for sustenance are Methow Valley Ciderhouse, 5 B’s Bakery, The Mazama Store and Bird’s View Brewing Company.
Check current conditions (as this road often closes due to snow, avalanche danger and slides) And as always, practice Leave No Trace. Pretty Please.
