Last month, my friends Mark, Elle, Izzy (Snowdog) and I took advantage of one of my snow days to go play in the snow up at Snoqualmie Pass. This was my second time visiting this popular snowshoe route and once again, it did not disappoint.
The trail to Kendall Peak Lakes sits just east of the pass at the Gold Creek Sno-Park. You can find out more information about how to get a pass here. From there, it is a wide service road most of the way to the lakes.
After a little over a mile, there are viewpoints out to the ski resort and surrounding mountains.
The last quarter mile takes a turn into the forest and down to the first lake. It makes a lovely place to enjoy lunch (if it is not too cold) and take in the sunshine!
Follow us along and learn more about this trail as we head out into the snow and up to the lakes…
