Snow is here, snow is here, snow is here!!
On Friday I got out with my friends Elle and Sarah for a day in the snow up at Stevens Pass here in Washington State. Look at all the snow!!
This is a great snowshoe for folks who want to try something short and easy or may not have a car for driving up forest roads. Sure, it is a bit of a steep climb at first but it is only a 1.2 miles to the lake and there are views of the mountains along the way!
You can read more details about our outing on Skyline Lake Snowshoe and Boulder Gardens. The first section is my report from this week, the second half of the page includes photos and details from January of 2017 (which had just a wee bit more snow and sun so you can see more of how beautiful this area really is). And more of my snowshoeing adventures, you can head over to my Snowshoe page and see where I have been playing in the white stuff the last few years. Maybe you will find some inspiration for your next outdoor escapade. And, if you are looking for some tips on snowshoeing because this is all new to you, I have several posts on ideas and suggestions for being safe and warm while snowshoeing, check them out!
