We got out on a short walk at Narbeck Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary on Tuesday after work. And just in time for the official start of spring (march 21st), there was evidence that nature is ready for the turning of the seasons. Of course it is the Pacific Northwest and like other parts of the country and the weather is sure to be a roller coaster for a while yet. I see you Kansas and Nebraska covered in snow!
Narbeck is less than 2 miles from my work and close to Boeing here in South Everett. It made a perfect jaunt with a friend who lives nearby.
The skies were blue and the flora was bursting with colors of green, pink and white.
Mud is a given in spring. It is also a given when the trail butts up against an industrial area and large parking lot as this patch was.

Despite all the chaos right now, it was reassuring to be outdoors and see that the predictable move from winter to spring was there like a third good friend walking along with us. I even quipped, “Nature will always have the last word.”
I hope you are getting into nature and listening yourself.
