If you aren’t following me on the Must Hike Must Eat Facebook page or a part of our Paleo Hikers and Backpackers group, you may be missing out on tidbits, tips and hacks* to eating Paleo or otherwise healthy while on trail, traveling or just hanging out at home.
Over there, I often posts pictures of what I am eating or have eaten, good store finds or easy ways to add some vegetables to your diet. Sometimes it easier just to share a picture or link than to write-up a whole post on the blog. And what is even better, the folks who are with me there share their tips and hacks, too!
Must Hike Must Eat on Facebook
Paleo Hikers and Backpackers
So, if you haven’t joined me over there yet, come on over and get in on the fun. You never know what you might learn and I sure would love to have you.
And here is a bonus Facebook hack! Have you ever wondered why after you “like” a page from something that you would like to see in your feed, you never seem to find their posts actually in your feed? The reason is that Facebook will only show you the posts from pages that you engage with (like, comment and share). Before you think it is some conspiracy, it actually is a good thing. They want to reward pages that are engaged with their followers. The more you engage, the more you will see your favorite pages.
So, if you want to see more of my posts, for instance, make sure that you click that like button, add a comment when you have something to say or share them with others who might enjoy them, too. This will work for all the pages you follow!
For more paleo eating advice, my Day Hiking Paleo and Backpacking Paleo pages share some great tips and recipes, too!
*I have to giggle now every time I use or see the word “hack”. My dad mentioned once that the word doesn’t really mean anything. Maybe because he read this article in the New Yorker.
